Take them to the cleaners

In places like New Zealand and Australia, we are not allowed to own guns or knives and carry them around with us to protect ourselves against criminal scum. That’s all well and good if there is a policeman on every street corner to ensure we are kept safe and there are tough penalties for breaking the law, but we don’t get either.
The survivor of the brutal Auckland RSA attack in 2001 has asked the Supreme Court in Wellington for the right to go to trial and sue the Department of Corrections for damages.

Susan Couch suffered serious injuries in the attack and spent years in rehabilitation after William Bell wounded her and killed three other employees at the Mt Wellington-Panmure RSA in December 2001. Bell had 102 previous convictions and was on parole when he went to the RSA where he worked as a barman. He killed Mary Hobson, Wayne Johnson and William Absolum in December 2001.

Ms Couch's lawyer Brian Henry told the court today he should be allowed to argue in a trial that Bell's probation officer had a duty of care to protect the public.
If this guy is given parole after a hundred and two convictions, what is the limit for someone somewhere to grow a spine and decide this scumbag, or another one like him, has had enough chances? Even after killing the three he was given just 30 years, I wonder how many have to be slaughtered for these scum to get life.

Besides can anyone tell me why this piece of crap should not be shot or hanged* next week, I mean the guy has been convicted a hundred and two times and has now killed three people. The only way we can be sure he won’t add to that list is to kill the fellow, because in 30 years (minimum without parole) some spineless leftist can get all soft and fuzzy when the fellow comes before them because a murder 30 years ago will seem oh so distant and let this fellow out again.

In my opinion this woman is entitled to some compensation, not only can the state not protect her and does not allow her to protect herself, but they also fail to take a tough stance on violent criminals. It’s time they started to pay; real people with real lives are paying in blood for their mistakes.

*Changed from "hung", it has been brought to my attention that "hung", apart from being wrong, may be construed entirely inappropriately.
